PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming surface edge electrode capable of making a thick end surface electrode over three surfaces with a good pattern and with good accuracy by one printing and a solid composite part. SOLUTION: This method of forming an electrode includes a first step of forming an ink pattern layer 5 by screen-printing an conductive ink on an elastic body by using a metal plate 3 and a second step of pressing the edge portion of a substrate 6 on the pattern layer 5 on the elastic body to transfer the ink on the elastic body to the substrate 6 to form the pattern layer of the conductive ink on the edge portion of the substrate 6.
