PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection preventing mechanism which can ensure smooth running and can maintain a closing posture of a top-railed sliding door by holding the lower part of the door stably and by preventing deflection in the lateral direction, by using a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this deflection preventing mechanism in a top-railed sliding door, a ring body 1 having a plurality of projecting pins 2 at prescribed intervals on the outer circumferential surface is fitted rotatably to the lower end of a door panel A of the door and the projecting pins 2 of the ring body 1 are so disposed as to be exposed from the lower end face of the door panel A. Moreover, long lengths of strip-shaped body 7 wherein a large number of pin holes 6 receiving the projecting pins 2 are formed in straight-line disposition is fitted on a floor surface along the direction of running of the door, and the pin holes 6 of the strip-shaped body 7 and the projecting pins 2 of the ring body 1 are formed at the same pitches.
