PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent spotted noise or fogging from occurring in a developing device for forming a toner image on the surface of an image carrier by using developer including toner and fluid particulates, restoring residue such as toner remaining on the surface of the image carrier after transferring the toner image to a transfer medium into a device main body by a restoring means and supplying new toner from a toner replenishing device. SOLUTION: In this developing device, the toner image is formed on the surface of the image carrier 1 by using the developer D including the toner(t) and the fluid particulates, the residue such as the toner remaining on the surface of the image carrier after transferring the toner image to the transfer medium 6 is restored into the device main body 40 by the restoring means 8 and the device main body is replenished with the new toner from the toner replenishing device 42. In the device, negatively electrified toner to which metallic salt stearate is added is used, and the amount of the metallic salt stearate added to the new toner with which the device main body is replenished is made smaller than that in the initial toner. |
