WAVELENGTH OPTICAL SELECTION SWITCH, OPTICAL ADD-DROP DEVICE, AND OPTICAL CROSS-CONNECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength optical selection switch, an optical add-drop device, and optical cross-connecting device which does not give deterioration such as wavelength distortion to wavelength light of a light signal selected and outputted from an output port. SOLUTION: The wavelength optical selection switch 1 comprises an optical branching unit 2 which divides the light signal into two and an optical circuit 7 which is connected to the optical branching unit and has 1st and 2nd input ports 5a and 5b and 1st and 2nd output ports 6a and 6b, and the optical circuit is equipped with N (N=1, 2... an integer) shield means 3 which can shut off respective wavelength lights forming a wavelength multiplexed light of the light signal at least independently and optical paths A and B from the input ports to the output ports via the shield means; and one optical path is formed of a path passing through an arbitrary combination of shield means and the other optical path is formed of a path passing through a combination of shield means having complementary relation with the arbitrary combination of the shield means.
