PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin film having excellent flatness, reduced in thickness irregularity and having high melt specific resistance, in particular the thermoplastic resin film suitable for a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the thermoplastic resin film by closely applying a molten sheet comprising a thermoplastic resin A with a melt specific resistance of 1×10<9>Ωcm or more to a cooling drum to form a film, the molten sheet, wherein a thermoplastic resin B with a melt specific resistance of <5×10<7>Ωcm is laminated on both surfaces of the thermoplastic resin A and the end part of the sheet comprises only the thermoplastic resin B, is closely brought into contact with the cooling drum by the application of static electricity to obtain a laminated sheet and the thermoplastic resin B is removed from the laminated sheet to manufacture the thermoplastic resin film comprising the thermoplastic resin A. |
