<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a system and a method for enabling an improved portable media player. <P>SOLUTION: Each portable media player is provided with an opened-closed position for sufficiently protecting a media screen. A user Interface control can be disposed on the portable media player. The user interface control can include a touch pad user interface component generally in an arc-like form. Various forms of an arc are provided, e.g., in the form of a quarter circle touchpad, which facilitates the discovery and navigation of media via a first natural movement of a finger.
