<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polyester film having both practical mechanical strength and heat-resistant dimensional stability, obtained by using an aliphatic polyester having good transparency. <P>SOLUTION: This biaxially oriented polyester film is composed of a polyester having ≥200°C melting point and comprising mainly 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid and 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol, which satisfies simultaneously an average refractive index of ≥1.5175 and a plane orientation degree of ≥0.020. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
