<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable confirmation of the state of a printing process before printed paper is discharged when the printing process is executed in the printing apparatus side after data is transmitted from a host apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Before the printing is executed, a CPU 21 of a printer 2 side transmits image (print) data, which is formed in an image forming unit 23, to the host apparatus 1, and requires the host apparatus 1 to make confirmation whether printing may be performed with the format. In the host apparatus 1, the print image data from the printer apparatus 2 which is displayed in a display unit 13 is confirmed, and when the printing may be performed, an operation button on an unillustrated keyboard or the display screen is selected so as to give an instruction to the printer apparatus 2 whether or not the printing may be performed.
