FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed screw conveyor for transporting loose loads has cylindrical trough with curvilinear guide and flexible shaft in form of double-lay rope with screw blade. Screw blade of flexible shaft is trihedral strand with one of three apices rigidly connected to two adjacent outer round strands of double-lay rope. Axis of trihedral strand passes through said apex and longitudinal axis of double-lay rope and divides outer face opposite to said in two halves, and radius of curvature of outer face of trihedral strand is equal to inner radius of cylindrical trough. ^ EFFECT: increased capacity of screw conveyor at transporting loose load along curvilinear path. ^ 2 dwg
