PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate leakage of liquid from a liquid passage, forward route coupling passage and reverse route coupling passage when releasing connection of forward route coupling passage connector and reverse route coupling passage connector of liquid to a liquid passage as part of a circulating route in a print head to a liquid passage side connector, in a liquid circulating system constituted to transfer liquid (cooling liquid) in contact with the head to regulate temperature of the head. SOLUTION: This printer comprises an atmosphere open solenoid valve 1058 and a return manifold 1056 provided at a position higher than a liquid level of the liquid stored in a cooling liquid storage tank 4100, a return manifold 1066 disposed at a position lower than the liquid level of the liquid F stored in the tank 4100. In this case, the circulating route is opened with the atmosphere at suitable timing prior to release of the connection, the liquid F is efficiently removed from all forward sub-tube, liquid tube 1040, and forward sub-tube 1062 and removed to the tank. |
