Method and apparatus for preparing a food product by rolling a piece of plastic, deformable food material in the presence of a particulate coating material in a revolving drum (14), thereby reshaping said piece of material, delivered by a supply tube (16) and a wire-cutting means (17), into a roundish, coated body. The roundish body is preferably spherical, annular or roundish cylindrical. The food material is, for instance, mashed potato, minced fish or dough and preferably aerated, frozen confection. |
