A wireless communication terminal and a power control and channel usage method using channel bandwidth adjustment thereof are provided to reduce the power consumption remarkably and achieve high-quality communication between a mobile terminal and a wireless headset in an optimized channel environment by varying a frequency bandwidth so as to transmit and receive chaotic carriers even at a narrow frequency bandwidth. If a user operates a button, formed at a mobile terminal or a wireless headset, and selects the output of audio data(S400), the mobile terminal transmits an ID request signal to the wireless headset through an arbitrary subchannel of a preset channel(S405). The control part of the mobile terminal confirms whether an ID response signal containing an ID is received from the wireless headset(S410). If the ID response signal is not received within a preset time(S415), the control part generates a signal to vary the filtering band of a BPF(Band Pass Filter) and increases the number of subchannels(S430). Then the control part transmits the ID request signal through the subchannel-increased channel(S435). Meanwhile, if the ID response signal is received from the wireless headset, the control part detects the power level of the ID response signal through a power detection part and confirms whether the detected power level is more than a preset level(S420). If so, the control part sets the ID contained in the ID response signal and associated subchannels of the channel(S450). Then the control part creates a chaotic carrier through a chaotic signal generator and a modulator and transmits it to the wireless headset through the subchannels(S455,S460). |
