A pneumatic spring striking mechanism generates axial striking in an impact/striking piston that moves to and fro along a striking axis. It is also driven via a crank pin (4) in an eccentric plate/cam (5) set up so as to rotate. Regarding the axis (E) of the eccentric plate/cam, the distribution in mass for the eccentric plate/cam has an unbalanced mass (U).
