BETA-SHAPE:COMPACT STRUCTURE FOR TOPOLOGY AMONG SPHERES DEFINING BLENDING SURFACE OF SPHERE SET AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING SAME

A beta-shape:compact structure for expressing phase information defining a blending curve among spheres and a structure constructing method thereof are provided to construct the compact structure from a sphere set and offer a method for using the compact structure. A first logic finds a Voronoi diagram object of spheres(702). A second logic search Voronoi edges partially accessible from the Voronoi diagram object(704). A third logic calculates faces of a beta-shape object from the partially accessible Voronoi edges(706). A fourth logic searches Voronoi faces partially accessible from the Voronoi diagram object by including a logic for checking the edges of the Voronoi diagram object in a Brute force mode, which is formed to search the partially accessible Voronoi edges. A fifth logic calculates the edges of the beta-shape object from the partially accessible Voronoi faces.
