An ESP(Electronic Stability Program) system for a vehicle and a control method for the same are provided to improve driving comfort in cornering by judging a behavior of the vehicle by reflecting a suspension control mode and determining the control degree of damping force of a suspension and a control timing according to the behavior of the vehicle. An ESP system for a vehicle having a brake and a suspension is composed of: a memory(100) storing plural suspension control modes and a braking control model corresponding to each suspension control mode; a CDC(Continuous Damping Control) processing unit(200) for controlling the suspension on the basis of the suspension control mode selected from the suspension control modes memorized in the memory; and an ESP control processing unit(300) for selecting a behavior estimation range of the vehicle by using the braking control model corresponding to the suspension control mode selected by the CDC processing unit, and controlling the brake by using the selected behavior estimation range.
