The device (4) has fastening units (5a, 5b), which are inserted between a pit (3) and a component (7) i.e. chimney-component, to fix the component in the pit. The component is centered in the pit by overcoming a gap between the component and the pit. A cross connection (6a) connects the fastening units with one another and laterally guides the component in the pit. The connection permits a relative position change of the component opposite the pit based on temperature differences in a longitudinal direction of the pit.
