The valve comprises a body with an inlet (3) and outlet (4) connected to two apertures (19, 20) situated side by side opposite a membrane (12) linked to an actuator to interact with a seat (23) to separate the two apertures. The aperture (19) to receive the seat is bounded by a tube component (22) which projects above the surface (9) of the valve body and has a conical upper face. The height of the seat is greater than that of the tubular component surrounding the aperture (19) and has an inner diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of the tubular component The outer face of the seat is more or less cylindrical in shape and its under surface lies perpendicular to the seat's axis. The seat is made e.g. from a synthetic material such as polychlorotrifluoroethylene, or from a soft metal such as nickel or a nickel-steel alloy coated with a layer of an alloy such as 'Hastelloy' (RTM) or 'Inconel' (RTM).
