FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: mechanism contains a frame thereupon the housing of the multi-shaft cylinder reduction gear unit with tiller drums and a control mechanism performing 180° turn of the housing with tiller drums for bypass of the trunk are mounted. The reduction gear unit has supports attached onto its opposite ends. The housing of the multi-shaft cylinder reduction gear unit is capable of turning round the central drive shaft. The tiller drums are mounted onto the vertical output shafts of the reduction gear unit. The control mechanism is represented by a probe with a push bar equipped with a spring-loaded tip, a pin, two cams and a damper. The pin is movably inserted in the plug rigidly fixed onto the frame. The cams are arranged on the housing top surface, axially symmetric. The housing turning control mechanism is equipped with a locking fixture and an additional damper. The both dampers are mounted on the housing and kinematically connected to the supports. ^ EFFECT: proposed design solution enables efficient undertree gardening tillage without the risk of damaging the tree trunks and provides for the device operational reliability enhancement. ^ 4 dwg
