METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING REPRODUCTION-DEDICATED OPTICAL DISC MEDIUM AND REPRODUCTION-DEDICATED OPTICAL DISC MEDIUM ITSELF

An information signal region in an information signal recording plane is formed as a pit on a mirror corresponding to modulated information data and is coated with a metal alloy reflection film. The information signal region has some sections having no pits corresponding to information data. The metal alloy reflection film portions on the respective sections having no pits are formed as hole marks corresponding to the information data. In this case, by adjusting the depth and width of the pits and/or the width and the length of the hole marks, it is possible to obtain a prepit signal reproduction signal amplitude level substantially identical to the reproduction signal amplitude level of the hole mark signal. This suppresses generation of a waveform distortion by a waveform equivalent circuit or irregularities of a binary signal caused by a slice level shift, thereby stably and surely detecting a signal by the same reading device.
