PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser processing method by which generation of dross can be reduced when laser cutting regardless of a shape of a member to be cut.SOLUTION: A laser processing method for a work-piece 1 which has a site at which meltage of a work-piece 1 becomes excessively large with respect to input of heat by laser when laser-cutting the work-piece 1 having a predetermined plate thickness T and therefore it is foreseen that dross is generated, or a dross generation foreseen part X, performs: a thin wall part processing step (STEP-1) of processing the dross generation foreseen part X so that the part has a wall thickness (T-d) smaller than the predetermined plate thickness T to form a thin wall part 3; and a laser cutting step (STEP-2) of laser-cutting the work-piece 1 after the thin wall part processing step (STEP-1). In the laser-cutting step (STEP-2) the work-piece is laser cut with the thin wall part 3 included in a position to be irradiated by laser.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
