PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color ink jet label printer that eliminates the need to prepare many color tapes and can improve usability because of less restrictions on print characters and printing paper.SOLUTION: A color ink jet label printer has: a header; four printing heads each comprising a movable head cover for preventing drying on an ink discharge surface; a cover control arm 82 for inserting and extracting the head cover; a paper feed lever 80 sending printing paper out by rotating the paper feed cam 90; a color selection sensor 88 where four photointerruptors are fixed; a motor 23 moving the header along a width direction of the printing paper with a belt; two limit sensors 31a, 31b that operate as both right and left side face edges of the header abut; a freely openable/closable upper case; an electronic circuit board where a keyboard, a display unit, and an electronic component are arranged and which is fixed inside the upper case; a tray guiding the printing paper to a label discharge opening; and a battery box 36 which accommodates a plurality of batteries.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
