PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method which is resistive to influences of a deformation, an expansion, etc., of printed matters (e.g. print papers), whereby patterns and designs printed on the printed matters are mutually compared thereby being inspected. SOLUTION: All inspection objects 2 printed on papers 1, 11 are picked up by an optical system 3 and picked-up data are stored in an intermediate memory 5. The data picked up from the inspection objects 2 printed to the paper 1 of the picked-up data stored in the intermediate memory 5 are used as a sample data, while the data picked up from the inspection objects 2 printed to the paper 11 are used as a sample data. The data are compared at a comparison inspection-processing part 6. A comparison result is sent to a result- processing part 7. The result-processing part 7 indicates to eliminate from a transfer line the paper judged from the comparison result to fail (be defective), with generating an alarm. |
