摘要 The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing medium carbon steel for an axle shaft by controlled rolling without normalizing. The method of manufacturing medium carbon steel for an axle shaft includes the steps of: soaking a steel slab consisting of 0.37 to 0.51 wt% of C, 0.15 to 0.35 wt% of Si, 0.60 to 0.90 wt% of Mn, 0.030 wt% or less of P (excluding 0 wt%), 0.025 wt% or less of S (excluding 0 wt%), 0.20 wt% or less of Ni (excluding 0 wt%), 0.20 wt% or less of Cr (excluding 0 wt%), 0.010 to 0.030 wt% of Al, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities at 950 to 1,140°C for at least 80 minutes, preferably, soaking for 80 to 120 minutes; roughing the steel slab at 900 to 990°C; and rolling the roughed steel slab after cooling to a temperature of 850 to 900°C, wherein the medium carbon steel has ferrite and pearlite structures.
