PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for power transmission enabling a transmitter to prevent a metal body from being overheated.SOLUTION: Proposed is a method for calculating a power loss in an inductive power transmission system having a power transmitter for inductively transmitting power to a power receiver via a transmitter coil and a receiver coil. By the power transmitter, this method includes the steps of: acquiring time information for time matching, which enables the power transmitter to match the time for calculating a power loss with the power receiver; and calculating the power loss during power transmission in accordance with the acquired time information and reception power parameters transmitted from the power receiver.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
