PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate manufacturing method capable of preventing a volatile matter such as platinum condensed above an agitation device from being mixed with molten glass in the agitation device by restraining vaporized platinum from being condensed in an agitation tank with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: In a molten glass agitation step, an agitation device 120 provided with a flap 117 having a size almost to cover a gap 115 existing between a rotation shaft and a lid 110 of an agitation tank 103 and a refractory material 111 located above the refractory material 111 through which a rotation shaft 108 of an agitator 107 penetrates is used. |
