A method and device for reporting a channel state. A user equipment (UE) uses M cells to transmit data, and the method comprises: a base station transmits a configuration signal to the UE, the configuration signal including a reporting period of channel state information (CSI) of N cells within the M cells; the base station transmits a channel state request signal to the UE, the channel state request signal being used for instructing the UE to report the CSI of the N cells; the base station receives the CSI of the cells managed by the base station within the N cells, the CSI being transmitted by the UE according to the reporting period. Also disclosed are a corresponding base station and user equipment. The technical solutions of the method and device for reporting a channel state enable a base station to be low-cost and to obtain, in a timely and reliable manner, a cell channel state reported by a user equipment, and thereby allow the base station to arrange the sending of downlink data in a highly efficient manner. |
