PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a film having very small optical anisotropy by reducing strain during molding, and usable for an optical film such as a polarizing plate protective film excellent in transparency.SOLUTION: A film having very small optical anisotropy and excellent in transparency can be produced by a production method of the film in which, during extrusion molding of a composition mainly composed of an amorphous thermoplastic resin (i), the ratio between a center part thickness (Tc) and an end part thickness (Tt) in the width direction of the obtained film satisfies a specific regulation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
