PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fog from occurring on an image, and satisfactorily lower a heat generating quantity by setting the projection timing suitable to condition such as the copying condition, when heat generation is lowered by the delayed irradiation timing. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, a CPU 210 starts execution of the copying operation on receiving a copy start signal from the copying condition input panel 150. The CPU 210 reads out a specified timing data table from the ROM. This timing data table is provided with the data being arranged in a table of the timing of the power supply starting corresponding to effective value of an applying voltage, the setting condition, the copying condition or the like of the exposure lamp 122. The CPU 210, on selecting the optimum power supply starting data from the timing data table in accordance with the condition of the copying condition input panel 150, the ambient temp. sensor 270, or the like, outputs the power supply start command signal to a converter power source 220. The switch section in accordance with the power supply command signal, controls the power supply from the converter power source 220 to the exposure lamp 122. |
