摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator assembly for a gas turbine engine and a method for forming an operating medium gas passage in which the number of radial blade surfaces inside the outermost portion of the operating medium passage is reduced and noise can be reduced while a decrease in thrust is prevented. SOLUTION: A gas turbine engine having an annular passage for an operating medium gas comprises: an array of rotor blades 32; and an intermediate wall 52 extending in a circumferential direction downstream of the rotor blades, dividing an outside medium passage into an inside annular channel and an outside annular channel, being supported inside by an array of stator vanes 48 extending traverse the inside channel, extending across the outside channel and being supported outside by the reduced number of struts. The outside annular channel extends in the radial and circumferential directions within 20% of the outside part of the operating medium passage so as to trap a part of a following turbulence.
