PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence of two pages of sheets before starting an image forming action when forming two pages of images in one image forming process. SOLUTION: An image forming device which can form a plurality of pages of images in one image forming process has a cassette 11 which is removably mounted on a device body and can receive a plurality of sheets, a reflection sensor 24 for detecting the presence of sheet in the cassette 11, and controlling means 27 for controlling an image forming action based on the detection signal from the reflection sensor 24. When images are formed on two sheets in one image forming process, the device is controlled such that it detects the presence of sheet in the cassette 11 and conducts the image forming action based on the detection signal after a provisional paper feed conducted before a sheet received in the cassette 11 is fed to an image forming unit. |
