A travelling pneumatic textile machine cleaner adapted to travel along a rail 10 comprises a pressure chamber 46 at its forward end covered by a fixed filter screen 14 and having a downwardly extending pressure tube 11 at either end of the chamber and a suction chamber with upper and lower portions 49, 49a at the rear end of the cleaner covered by a movable filter screen 50 and having downwardly extending suction tubes 12 at either end. The cleaner is moved beneath a fixedly mounted vacuum nozzle 13 so positioned as to clean the fixed filter 14 on its passage therebelow and thereafter the movable screen 50 is moved out of an opening in a wall defining the suction chamber into a position above the filter 14 beneath the nozzle 13 for cleaning. Simultaneously a shutter 55 is adapted to be automatically moved to shut openings 45, 48 between blowers 41, 43 and the pressure and suction chambers which they respectively supply. |
