The pneumatically or hydraulically actuated door closer system charges the working piston with pressurised fluid only after the locking components are engaged in a preliminary position. This reduces wear of components and the lock components do not require accurate alignment with the piston on assembling. The pneumatic cylinder chamber of the working piston is connected by the valve to the vacuum line of the carburettor or a vacuum pump and the chamber is connected to the atmosphere via the venting valve. The latching hook which is connected to the piston engages on closing with the locking element on the door. The valves are actuated by a slider which is coupled to the rotating latch which in turn is coupled to the external actuator. The lock system also has a locking handle against external opening. |
