[Also in Division C2] A detergent composition comprises a biodegradable composition comprising the product of cosulphonation of a mixture comprising from 99-0 to 99.9 parts by wt. of alinear alkyl aryl compound and from 0À1 to 1À0 parts by wt. of naphthalene or a methylated naphthalene containing not more than 2-methyl substituents, the said product being in alkali metal salt form, together with a carrier. Specified carriers are sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium silicate, carboxymethyl cellulose and sodium sulphate. |
