[Also in Division C2] An antibacterial composition comprises the antibiotic rancomycin I or rancomycin II or a 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazone thereof [see Division C2] and a carrier. The compositions may be used as a general disinfectant and added to wash solutions for various usages. They may 'be used to minimize or prevent odour in fish and fish crates caused by B. subtilis. |
