Pref. composns. are : (1) A + one or more of Labdanum, Opponax, Ratchouli, orange, bergamot; (2) A + Vetiver, oak, cedar, sandalwood; (3) A + carnation, cinnamon, capsicum. A is prepd. as Chemistry and Industry (1962) 1715-1716 or Tetrahedron 23 1241-9 (1967); also by reacting gaiol with iodine in benzene. Warm, spicy perfume.</p> |
