<p>The roughly chopped, fibrous meat passes from a gravity hopper onto an endless belt stressed against the perforated wall of the drum into which the minced meat is forced. The belt support roller spreads the meat uniformly over the drum surface with teh exception of an edge strip each side against which two curved plastic arms press the belt. These are joined by a cross bar and freely pivoted about the shift carrying the support roller. They have a spiral lead on curve to a circular curved matching that of the drum and their width is approx. twice the belt thickness. They are esp. of high molecular polyethylene.</p> |
