<p>An appts. for vulcanising or polymsg. a rubber or plastic rope possessing a metal core operates by UHF energy; the rope passes through a metal housing, entirely enclosed except for the rope inlet and outlet and the electrical terminal apertures; inside the housing a coil surround the entire path of the rope and transmits the energy into it. Specifically, the coil may be wound around a plastic tube permeable to electromagnetic waves and contg. hot air, or inside a similar tube. Method avoids the difficulties arising when the metal core of the cord is used as a conductor.</p> |
