<p>An appts. for temp. regulation of the plastics in a forming section of a screw extruder comprises a temp. sensor, a comparator for comparing this temp. with a reference value, a setting device for the reference value and a correction device (typically a regulator valve) and between the screw and the discharge mouthpiece of the forming section, an adjustable drag-flow dissipator is incorporated, the correction device being associated with it. In a prefd. arrangement, a rotating cylindrical extension at the forward end of the screw is close to a fixed cylindrical mandrel coaxially mounted in the forward end of the barrel; both being surrounded with a sleeve with a short annular gap between them.</p> |
