The preparation device for pomegranates, passion fruits or citrus fruits consists of a drop pipe (16) for charging and feeding the fruits and a cutting device (19) adjacent thereto. Arranged under the cutting device is a crushing device (22) which crushes the fruits and downstream of which the fruits are fed to a sieve device whose perforation permits the juice sacs which are separated from the fruit mass to pass through. Connected upstream of the drop pipe (16) is a conveying device. The drop pipe (16) is provided with a diameter which is approximate to the size of the fruit and has a centring and acceleration device (17) over the cutting device (19). Arranged below the sieve device which is provided with a sieve drum (26) is an upwardly open conveyor channel (36) for the fruit sacs to be transported. The sieve drum (26) which is inclined downwards in the through-direction is provided at its lower end with a conveyor element (34) for transporting away the useless parts of the fruit. <IMAGE>
