A permanent magnet generator comprising a wind gathering table (1) for guiding upward the wind impinging against the wall surface (4a) extending from the lower end portion to the upper end portion of a taper-like peripheral wall so as to concentratedly draw the wind blowing to the wind gathering table (1) of the generator to horizontal driving vanes and to reduce a cogging phenomenon, a roof (11) disposed above the wind gathering table (1) through support rods (10) fixedly planted to the wind gathering table (1), a rotary shaft (12) turnably supported by the roof (11) and the wind gathering table (1) and equipped at the upper end thereof with horizontal driving vanes (2) positioned inside an open space (17), a permanent magnet rotor (20) fixed to the rotary shaft (12) and so disposed as to rotate in the horizontal direction along with the rotary shaft (12) inside the wind gathering table (1), and a nonmagnetic ring-like fitting plate (31) equipped with a stator winding (30) so disposed as to oppose a ring-like permanent magnet cylindrical portion (25) interconnected through a horizontal arm portion (24) constituting the permanent magnet rotor (20) and fixedly disposed inside the wind gathering table (1). |
