The displacement feed machine used as a pump, compressor or similar is in principal assimilated to rotary slide and palette machines, except as to the cylindrical piston which is replaced by an annular piston (1) arranged in an annular chamber delimited by inner walls (3) and outer walls (4) which divide said annular chamber into two working chambers (2) and which rotate, roll or are at rest, when the radial walls of the working chamber are in motion. A circular cylindrical piston may move between the radial walls of the working chamber, which generate the working volume, which may form a monoangle, a biangle or a triangle, but which always have the same smallest radial distance. Thus, the drive elements (12) (slides (14) or cylindrical rollers (13)) arranged in the radial recesses (11) of the piston (1) have a compulsory motion. The piston is fixed to at least a side member (5). By cancelling the centrifugal forces, this machine behaves as a rotary piston machine. On each side of the piston there is arranged a working chamber, thereby providing a two-stage machine, which do not have to be necessarily always in working conditions; the compulsory motion and the cancelling of centrifugal forces are preferred per se. Inversely, a piston (monoangle, biangle, triangle...) which generates the working volume, may rotate between circular cylindrical walls. A pump with excentric rings is characterized by an annular piston which rolls simultaneously on both annular walls. A resilient wall may be arranged between the piston and the crank case thereby providing a sealingly closed pump which resists to abrasive agents. The horseshoe-shaped piston may be stationary and the resilient walls may be driven by an excentric.
