PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for compensating fading distortion without being affected even when part of known symbols is remarkably distorted due to other cause than fading fluctuation. SOLUTION: Data are transmitted by inserting known symbols to each sub- carrier in the multi-carrier transmission system. A receiver side is provided with a means 32 that detects distortion of the known symbols, a correction means 33 for the detected distortion, a means 34 that estimates the distortion of information symbols from the detected distortion of the known symbols, and a means 35 that uses the estimated distortion to compensate distortion of received data. The correction means 33 calculates a correction value for the detected distortion of the known symbols that are distorted remarkably based on a gradient of mean values of the distortion of the known symbols for each sub carrier and on the detected distortion of the known symbols of other sub carrier that are received at the same time. |
