<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. readily sol. in general-purpose solvents and excellent in heat resistance and heat stability, by incorporating a chlorinated polymethylpentene formed by chlorination of a particular crystalline poly-4- methylpentene-1. CONSTITUTION:A crystalline poly-4-methylpenten-1, MI(260 deg.C, 5kg load) of 8- 70g/10min (ASTM D-1238-65T), is dissolved in CCl4 and chlorinated homogeneously to the degree of 50wt% or more of chlorine content for yielding chlorinated polymethylpentene. Said chlorinated polymethylpentene is dissolved in a solvent and mixed with a colorant to yield a coating compsn. EFFECT:Coating films having excellent resistance to thermal deformation and thermal decomposition and showing good solvent release are given. USE:Coatings, printing inks, adhesives, etc.</p> |
