PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of useless noise radio waves by using the information on transmission timing signals, etc. of a time-division multiple access device to turn on and off the anode voltage of a traveling wave tube. CONSTITUTION:When the signal given from an output terminal 10 of a time-division multiple address device TDMA8 is supplied to a large power amplifier 16, the output of a traveling wave tube TWT is obtained. When a call is produced, the head pulse S of the 3rd super-frame (d) is erased. Then a fall command pulse P2 is sent to a TWT power supply control timing signal 4 at the corresponding position. Thus a TWT power supply 12 is switched off. When no call is produced, a head rise command pulse P1 is produced so as to have a rise earlier than the head burst S by some bits (DELTAt). Thus the power supply 12 is switched on. In such a way, the power supply 12 is turned on and off according to the periodical property of the TDMA signal. Thus the amplifier 16 has an intermittent action. |
