PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrogen storage electrode having good utilization of stored hydrogen, long life, and high capacity by containing a specific Mm-Ni-Co group hydrogen storage alloy. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen storage electrode contains a hydrogen storage alloy indicated in MmNixCoyMz. Mm shows misch metal, M is at least one element selected from a group comprising Ag, Ga, In, Ge, Tl, Pb, W, and Bi, and the relation of x, y, and z is 4.5<=x+y+z<=5.5, and the value of z is 0<z<=2.0. Thereby, the hydrogen storage electrode having small characteristic- deterioration caused by corrosion of alloy, small capacity-deterioration caused by powdering the alloy, good utilization of stored hydrogen, long life, and high capacity over a long period of cycles is obtained. |
