PURPOSE:To prevent production of vibration by exerting the different magnitude of a cutting force in a different direction on a tool body, by a method wherein the radial angles of a part of tips are set to a value different from that of the radial rake angle of other tips. CONSTITUTION:Tip mounting seats 2... and tip mounting seats 3... are alternately mounted on the outer periphery of a cutter body 1, and tips 4 are respectively mounted thereto. The tips 4 to the mounting seats 2 and 3 are mounted at positive and negative axial rake angles with a reference end surface 10 of the cutter body 1. Further, the radial angles of the tips 4 mounted to the mounting seats 2 are set alternately to alpha1 and alpha2 in relation of alpha1<alpha2, the angles of the tips 4 at the mounting seats 3 are set alternately to beta1 and beta2, and a relation therebetween is set to beta1<beta2. This constitution forces a cutting force, exerted on the cutter body 1, and an exerting direction to be different between the tips 4... resulting in prevention of production of regular vibration.
