PURPOSE:To securely prevent an automobile to travel backwardly, by actuating a clutch control valve and a brake control valve by the same servo hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION:A port 210 of a clutch control valve 200 for reducing servo hydraulic pressure to a forward clutch in response to signal hydraulic pressure and a port 194 of a brake control valve 180 effecting switching operation for controlling a supply of servo hydraulic pressure to a shift brake to solenoid valve 240 and a modulator valve 250. With the arrangement, the clutch control valve 200 and the brake control valve 180 can be controlled by the same servo hydraulic pressure so that a reduction in servo hydraulic pressure of a forward clutch is related with control of an engagement and release of the shift brake. Therefore, a backward travel of an automobile due to an insufficient engagement of the forward clutch can be securely prevented when the shift brake is released.
