METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ANCHORING A CONCRETE COVERING TO AN EXISTING SURFACE

In a method and system for anchoring a concrete covering to an existing surface, a wire netting is secured to the existing surface, and concrete is poured on the secured wire netting to form the concrete covering. The poured concrete flows through the openings of the wire netting whereby the concrete covering is anchored to the existing surface through the wire netting after hardening of the poured concrete. Preferably, the wire netting comprises an expanded metal netting. The poured concrete may be a high performance concrete and/or reinforced with fibers. Finally a corrosion-resistant coating may be applied to the wire netting.
