PURPOSE:To easily manage a data base by providing a graphic file storing outline information, means which gives the joining extent of graphics, means which finds a divided plan required for joining graphics, and means which joins graphics. CONSTITUTION:When the digital graphic data of each divided plan are filed, plan outline information which expresses the planar position of each divided plan when each plan is viewed as a whole, namely, the absolute coordinate values of the four corners of each plan in the same data structure as graphic data is added as a header. In order to display plans of an arbitrary number of sheets in a joined state, the outline information is fetched from each graphic file and the absolute coordinate values of the four corners of the entire area of the joined range are found. The scale of the joined range is calculated from the absolute coordinate values and the displaying size to be adopted when the joined range is displayed. The graphic data in the graphic files are transformed in accordance with the scale value and absolute coordinate values of the origin of each drawing. When the data are displayed, a joining of plural drawings can be displayed. |
