PURPOSE:To provide an injurious insect controlling agent not only having a high controlling effect against diamond back moth, particularly chemical- resistant diamond back moth, but also exhibiting a synergistic effect higher than the single effects of respective ingredients against other injurious insects, by containing thiodicarb and salithion as the active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:An injurious insect controlling agent contains a compound of formula I (thiodicarb) having a low insecticidal effect against diamond back moth and a compound of formula II (salithion) in a weight ratio of 1:9-7:3, in particular, 5:5-7:3 against diamond back moth resistant against synthetic pyrethroids, as active ingredients. The injurious insect controlling agent prepared thus can not only effectively control diamond back moth having resistance against organic phosphorous agents, carbamate agents and synthetic pyrethroid agents and therefore having been controlled by each of the ingredients with large difficulty but also exhibits an excellent controlling effect against lepidoptera order injurious insects such as tobacco cutworms, green caterpillars and leaf folders and hemiptera order injurious insects such as aphididae and scale louses. |
